Story details
- The story ID will be recorded on the story-specific paper consent form.
- The explaining staff member and date will be recorded on the story-specific paper consent form.
- The plain-language explanation given to the person will be attached to the story-specific paper consent form.
1. Collection and use
- Purposes: identity and fact checks, contact, approved-publication drafting, and withdrawal handling.
- Items: application text, contact details, relationship, and evidence specifically listed on the story-specific paper consent form.
- Retention: If not verified, the story text, contact, and relationship are cleared 30 days after receipt; only the receipt number, type, category, purge mark, and timestamps remain. For verified reports, the text and contact are kept until the story closes or the person withdraws, and then the operator clears them. If a law requires a separate retention period, we follow that period.
- You may refuse, but verification or publication cannot proceed.

2. Separate sensitive-data consent
- Health, disability, disease, victimization, or other sensitive data is listed specifically on the story-specific paper consent form.
- Consent to submit sensitive data is separate from consent to publish a diagnosis or condition.

3. Publication media and period
- The final text will be attached to the story-specific paper consent form. Phase 1 does not accept photos, video, or audio.
- Everlink web is the default medium. When publication expands to social media, advertising, or another medium, each will require a separate choice.
- The publication and reuse start and end dates will be recorded on the story-specific paper consent form. When the purpose, medium, or period changes, we will check again.
- Before posting, the operator shows the person the final text and gets their confirmation.

4. External AI, processing, and overseas transfer
- We don't send story originals or contact details to outside generative AI. If we ever use AI on a de-identified copy, we'll ask for separate consent first.
- Original personal and sensitive data is not currently transferred to an external AI provider. Before a de-identified copy is used, the provider, purpose, data, country, timing, method, and retention period will be disclosed for a separate choice.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) provides web hosting and D1 database operations. Database: a Cloudflare data center in the Asia-Pacific region (Cloudflare chooses the exact country) / Page delivery: Cloudflare's global network (including the United States). Transfer occurs over the network when the service is used, and retention follows the Privacy Policy. Contact: [email protected]. Refusal means the service cannot be used.

5. Withdrawal and later handling
- Request withdrawal at [email protected] with the story ID. When withdrawal is requested, receipt and results will be recorded.
- When withdrawal is requested, we will stop new posts, advertising, and reuse on channels we control and request cache removal.
- We cannot promise retrieval of every printed, saved, or shared copy.
6. Children and teenagers
- We ask people not to send stories about children under 14 through the online form, and we don't save reports marked as under 14. Only when a parent or legal guardian contacts us directly do we proceed, after confirming the guardian's consent in writing and explaining it to the child in simple words. If the child objects, we don't publish.
- When story publication begins, consent from both the person and a guardian will be the default for ages 14 through 17.
- The identity and guardian verification method and verifier will be recorded on the story-specific paper consent form.
7. Final confirmation
- The approved final text version will be attached to the story-specific paper consent form. Phase 1 does not accept images.
- The person’s signature and date and the guardian’s signature and date will be recorded on the story-specific paper consent form.
- The consent version and publication or withdrawal history will be linked to the story record.
