Frequently asked questions

Once giving opens, how much of ₩10,000 reaches the need?

Once giving opens, at least ₩9,000. We plan to cap running costs at 10% of actual spending, including payment and transfer fees. Korean law allows up to 15% (₩8,500 left of ₩10,000).

People who give cash in Korea give ₩582,600 a year on average — about ₩48,550 a month (Statistics Korea, 2025 Social Survey). Once giving opens, we cap running costs at 10% instead of the legal 15%, so at least ₩2,428 more of that monthly amount reaches the need. This compares against the legal cap, not against platforms that take no platform fee.

This is an average. 15% is the legal cap, not what any organization actually spends.

Can people really not touch the money?

For now an administrator sets each story's cheer allocation. Once giving opens, a public rule will decide who gets how much, and there won't be any screen for changing amounts or recipients. Once a fundraising account exists, the account holder (our founder) could still make a transfer at the bank — so after giving opens we'll reconcile the ledger with the bank balance every day and publish any mismatch as it is.

Do you ever give cash?

Once giving opens, whatever can be paid directly will be: hospital bills to the hospital, deposits to the landlord, supplies to the vendor. Once giving opens, only money with nowhere to pay it, like living costs, will go to the person's account in parts, and the next part will wait for spending records.

Where does the 10% go?

Once giving opens, we will spend it on payment and transfer fees, site operations, story verification, and AI costs, taking only what we actually spend and publishing it every month with receipts.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Not yet. Everlink needs to found a nonprofit and be designated a tax-deductible organization first. The target is March 2027. Once designated, we'll note it here first.

Are the stories real?

We post only stories where a person has checked the documents and the subject's consent. Each story notes who checked what, and when — and what we couldn't confirm.

Did AI write this?

There are no stories yet.

Stories are written by people, and we don't send story originals or contact details to outside generative AI. When we use AI to polish a copy without names or contact details, we get separate consent first and mark it on that story.

What if a story falls short of its goal?

Once giving opens, if the cost can be split, everything raised will go out. Once giving opens, if it can't — like surgery — the funds will go, with the approval of the office where giving is registered, to another story with the same purpose. Which rule applies will be written on the story page before fundraising begins.

What is Everlink?

A brand built on the idea of "for-profit, for nonprofit." It's currently run by ClassicMate (Representative: Inho Choi) and is preparing to found a nonprofit association.
