The ledger grows by one row each time money moves, and rows already written can't be edited or deleted. Each row records the time, type (Partner fee in, Cheer spend, Vendor payment, Recipient account payment, Operating cost, External donation, Refund, Adjustment), amount, proof, and a fingerprint. Each fingerprint builds on the one before it, so changing an earlier row changes every fingerprint after it. When the operator closes a day, that day's last fingerprint is published separately.
